The manifestation of life and its unfolding is the energetic interaction of different forces. They create and form a unity. In a human being this unity evolves in a constant dynamic interaction of a body-mind process, which forms the understanding of Self and, with that, the growing personality.

The experiences during these developmental phases will influence our perception and the resulting reaction patterns. They determine how one relates to family, society, the world, and the basic attitude towards life and existence.

The Core Evolution trainings teach the understanding of these processes and how they can become distorted and what effect this may have in the unfolding of the body and the psyche of a person. According to this complexity we teach comprehensive and individually differentiated body-mind oriented interventions.

The trainings are based on a unified and holistic process that connects the body, emotions, mind, will and spiritual self into a whole which expresses the total reality of a person, and supports not only the therapeutic process, but the evolution of one's core.

Siegmar & Cornelia Gerken

Siegmar Gerken Ph.D., ECP, studied psychology, education and cultural anthropology. After working in the Free Clinic Heidelberg in 1972, he pioneered body-psychotherapy and humanistic psychology (AHP member since 1974).

Cornelia Gerken CMP, ECP, integrates a spectrum of psychosomatic and healing approaches. She is the founder of CoreSoma. Cornelia and Siegmar are directors of the International Institutes of Core Evolution • Core Energetics • CoreSoma, in both Europe and the USA. They train professionals and organizations in the interconnectedness of psychosomatic processes as they manifest on the levels of body, mind, will and spirit.

As one of the great pioneers of bodypsychotherapy and humanistic psychology, John C. Pierrakos, M.D. developed basic theories and therapeutic approaches which give an analytic understanding of the personal development in relation to a person's structuring of the life energy.

In their twenty years of cooperation with Pierrakos, Siegmar and Cornelia Gerken expanded the theoretical formulations and practical approaches into Core Evolution®, and CoreSoma®.

• In the clinical work, they implemented the new theories of trauma work, systems theory, family constellations and others, which keep the trainings at the cutting edge of today's theory and practice.

• In the energetic-medical research, Siegmar Gerken, Ph.D. collaborates with physicians, physicists, scientists and practitioners from related fields and co-leads research seminars for the documentation of energy fields and the corresponding bodyemotions-mind process-which is formulated in an integrative science of life.
